just wanted to say hello to all the members,

i just finished my schooling or training if you will from fire etc., but based out in red deer through firemaster. i actually came across this site accidentally, but i'm glad i did.

the training i went through has opened my eyes to a totally different world. i mean i've always wanted to be a firefighter (sounds corny), but i have a much greater understanding as to what it feels like to actually live like one. i've never been so close to other people in such a short period of time ..... and trust them with my life without question ..... and vice versa.

but again, i'm new so i'm sure i'm gonna need some guidance and answers to a few questions. i hope you don't mind helping.

Welcome! It's cool to hear about your experiences at fireetc. I was to be on the summer course but had to back out. Hopefully I'll be heading down to Texas in October for a course that is supposed to be very similar to yours.

Post your questions away! I notice that there are a number of experienced guys that pop out of the woodwork to answer questions. Besides, your questions are likely ones us other wannabe's would ask.
