I'm going to Venice, Florida for a couple of weeks in the Fall with wife, baby and a few other couples. Anyone have some tips, tricks or advice?
Thanks!

There are some great beaches there. I haven't been as far down as Venice, but there's a beach near Sarasota called Coral Beach... it's beautiful, with a nice sand wall you can pick shells out of! Very cool!!! There's pretty good surfing there as well!!!
Other than that... sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!!! Have a great trip! Oh, and if you or your wife enjoys shopping, there are some great outlet stores not far from there as well!!! I found Nike Shox for $50, still kicking myself for not buying more than one pair!!!

Thanks for the tips... now I just hope the place we rented is still standing! It's 30km north of the area hardest hit by hurricane Charley. And I'm hoping hurricane season is over by the beginning of October

Oh boy... that's right, poor Florida sure did take a beating didn't they. I have family with winter homes along that coast, I haven't heard if they lost their homes, so that must be good news.
I think hurricane season is pretty much at an end then.... we went to Cuba a couple of years ago the first week of November and it was over and done with, the weather was beautiful! I'm sure you'll be fine!! :)
