HALIFAX (CP) - Getting rid of impostors posing as firefighters or doctors during events such as the terrorist attacks in New York may be as simple as a set of professional credentials, say a group of Canadian and American officials. Emergency management experts from both sides of the border met in Halifax this week to try to hammer out a common licensing system to help cut down on red tape and speed up mutual-aid calls in times of major emergencies.
