Well, I went and ordered a pair of Haix Fire Flash boots 10 in. It sounds like they are the boot of choice here on Firehall. Hopefully they are good for the Firefit challenge as well.

I just purchased a set of Haix Rescue Boots. They feel like I have had them for years. A very well built boot, I'm sure you will be very happy with your purchase.

We have had about a dozen FireFlash 10in issued for a trial run and they are awesome. I have had only one complaint about feet getting wet, but I am not sure if it was actual water seepage.

They are awsome. I would never wear a regular rubber fire boot again. We use ours a lot teaching at our training facility,I have had mine over a year. No stiches have pulled no water leaks and the zipper works as new.

Been in Leather turnout boots for about 12 years now. Have had a pair of Haix Fire Flash Pro 10 inch for about 6 months now and by far the best boot I have worn.
As has been said craftsmanship and finishing is awesome and the fit is like a slipper.

I 've had my leathers for about six months now. I stood in 8 inchs of water for a godd 20mins at a call and had no leaks. By far the best boots out there!

Good to hear. We are testing those boots at 4 halls right now(not mine :(), and the guys seem to like them. So it looks like the whole job will be getting them.

Recieved mine in the bus last wk. Nice and comfortable and light. Got them cheap from Rocky Mt Pheonix, $200.00, if they have your size.

Got my pair of Haix Fire Flash also. A very well built and fitting boot. First pair were Pro Warrington 5000. Nothing wrong with that boot either. The Haix just fit that much better. Worth every penny!!!

Good to hear in an 11. Send my bill to the City of Vancouver. The creeking and all the dust will be the wallet opening up for Vancouver Fire.

I've seen the Fire Flash 10inch boots listed for $375. What kinda price should I be paying? Also does anyone know if there is a dealer in the Toronto area? I need to try them on before spending mucho $$$'s.

PFD023,
I paid about $375 for mine when I got them (and they wern't last years stock). Not sure about dealers in the TO area though. Rocky Mountain Phoenix is in Red Deer AB and Surrey BC.
I have had mine for about a year and I love them. I find that they are great in the cold too if that is an issue. Never going back to rubber!!!!

Cheers,
That pic was in 2001 in Quebec. Those boots were a pair of Redwings. Nice boot, but sure wish I had my Haix for that run. Took a couple of years off from racing, may get back into it. Who knows. Do you race?

If you have to be in any foot wear for a long period of time, you want to be as comfortable as possible, wearing the rubber boots verus the Haix is no comparsion. The money that is invested into Haix is by far the best money spent.
