I dunno about about a run time for a mile, but I have been known to run amok at the drop of a hat.

Is that you Pat??
I go by KM's not mile's .I'm a demon but not a speed one. With my leg length I do a an 11km trail run near my house in about an hour at a steady pace at 70-80% of my MHR.

7 minute mile... aiming for 1.5 miles in 10 minutes for SAR Tech physical testing!
Then 10 minutes remaining for 31 push ups, 33 sit ups, 8 chin ups, 450 meter shuttle run, and an 6 meter rope climb x2.
After that I need to swim 685 meters in 20 minutes...
I'm tired just typing it!

Anything over 1:30 and I stop running all together.

My fastest mile time, unofficially, is 30 minutes :aetsch:
but that is doing laps in the pool.
Recently did a mile run on the track - having not run on the
track in years, and suffering from the flu, 10:20 wasn't bad.
Years ago I "ran" regularly on a tread mill. Best time was 22:13
for 3 miles. Can't even come close to that now. :frown:
Stay safe !!

Awesome guys. I guess not many people go by miles these days! My fastest is 5:30 but I have always been a runner. As for that 11km run in an hour or so thats pretty impressive. I go for the occasional 10km run but I cant push myself enough in such a long distance.. I op for the shorter runs!
And as far as swimming miles in the pool... I would be gettin sucked into the strainer by my second length.

The last timed mile I ran was 4:52. That was in high school back in the '70's. Haven't had the motivation to run that hard since!!! Would guesstimate I could run a sub 9 minute now! Okay maybe sub 10.

But could you do it while eating a sub?

Or taking the truck for a run to buy 9 or 10 subs?
