How Long Did It Take You?

For the guys who took college courses whether it be Texas or a Pre-Service course, how long did it take for you to get on and what age were you and what kind of courses did you have?

I'm almost at my ride along stage and am turning 20 this December so I don't expect to get on too soon but ive been loading the weekend courses and just want some personal experiences. Thanks

I went to humber straight out of highschool, i was hired at the age of 23, that was 4 years ago. I was also loading tons of courses, i would estimate some where around 3000$$$$ spent in just weekend courses and such no including humber college. My advice to you is keep plugging away, the amount of people writing these days is unbelievable, dont take the attitude of just cause you have gone to a post secondary school fire course that you DESERVE to be hired, i see that a lot now of days, and believe me just cause you went to college doesnt mean shit, you gotta be out there doing it all.
