Two quick questions I could use a hand with....
What type of aluminum are ground ladders made of?
Also at what temperature do heat sensor labels change there color?
Thanks for the help!

Did some research on the Duo Safety website, as they are a
major supplier of ladders to the fire service.
Appears fire service ladders are made from a 6061-T6 aluminum
alloy. The heat sensor labels change colors at 300 degrees F.
If any heat sensor label becomes black - remove the ladder from service at once and have the ladder load tested before the ladder is ever used again. If the ladder passes the load test - you have had a false alarm - replace the heat sensors and return the ladder to service.
N.F.P.A. now requires 4 heat sensors and one instruction label per ladder section. Each heat sensor has an expiration date printed on them. Any expired labels must be replaced.
You may want to check out their website at www.duosafety.com,
which has lots of useful information. You may also want to check NFPA 1931 Standard for Manufacturer’s Design of Fire Department Ground Ladders.
Hope this information helps !!
Stay safe !
