I was wondering if anyone has approached any manufacturers with safety concerns or safety ideas on Apparatus. The reason why I ask is because I always get some crazy idea in my head now and then that might create a better inovation....
Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas????

I had one, and I see it's in use now. About 5 years ago when talking to a truck rep, I asked why they couldn't put the jacobs brake toggle switch on the stearing wheel, similar to cruise control. It made sent to me, as every truck puts the switch in a little different position. Why not standardize it on the wheel, with no need to take your hand off? Anyhow, I saw it on a truck earlier in the year... hey where's my cut?

I remember seeing one of the companies out there introduced the integration of all accessories needed while enroute to an emergency.
Remember that your input is important, ssifire, you've potential saved the lives of pedestrians, motorists aswell as other Firefighters... that's the only assurances you'll get! ;)
