Anyone have any info on the Roll Over MVA this morning involving a Engine from MRVFD responding to a call during the snow/ice? They apparently lost control and struck a power pole.

I heard that the crew suffered only minor injuries so I assume they were all wearing their seat belts and I'm sure they any everyone else were glad they did too!!!

hit a patch of black ice and spun into a power line. the line hung up on a lampstandard right above the truck.

If its the same one I heard on the news last night as the others reported. Just a few minor injuries. Some loss of power to surounding residence and the truck is a write off.

They were pretty lucky there.....is that an old mack/hub?

Says "Mack" on the air horns anyway! Must be!:)

Those guys in BC just can't handle the ice and snow. Not like you guys in the snow belt anyway Deevo:rofl:

This is a great example of why FF's should always wear their Seat Belt and congratulations to the management of MRVFD for having a strict policy on same. This was a 20 year old Mack/Anderson Canopy Cab Pumper which wouldn't have the features of new Enclosed Cabs but still the crew walked away!

Wear Your Seat Belt.

And just for clarification, Maple Ridge is not a volunteer fire department. They are a combo department, thus Career and Paid on Call.
