EDMONTON - About 200 more Edmonton-based soldiers left Monday to help firefighters in B.C., and another 300 are ready to go if the devastating fires are not brought under control soon. Just after 7 a.m., 135 troops from the 1st Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry flew out of Edmonton. A second group, which left around 2 p.m., included members of Lord Strathcona's Horse (Royal Canadians), 1 Field Ambulance, 1 Service Battalion, 1 General Support Battalion, Land Force Western Area Headquarters and 1 Area Support Group.
