PARRY SOUND, ON - volunteer firefighter John Tuck, Chief Lawrence Green accepted the cheque from Labatts' reps Ian Fricker and Paul Quaiattini on September 21. Labatt Breweries Canada ran a fund raiser for fire departments across the country. Bars and restaurants around town would save their beer caps. At the end of the promotion, Labatts would donate $10 per pound pound of caps. Labatts donated $450 to the West Parry Sound Risk Watch Program. Risk Watch is a comprehensive injury prevention curriculum for children from preschool to Grade 8. The West Parry Sound Risk Watch Coalition placed the Risk Watch curriculum in every class room in Parry Sound and area public schools.
