I don't normally post on here but I just wanted to say thanks and rant all at once. First, I can never believe the differences in prices when buying fire related gear. Just got a new pair of Haix Fire Flash boots from RMP out west and they are friggin grrreat. Will never go back to rubber boots again. Also, wonderful service. I ordered them Monday and they were in SW Ontario Friday. Price rocked also. Now the rant. I tried getting a pair of Globe's but man that was an experiance I want to forget. Everything from the dealer in my area saying buying them on e-bay is illegal to no you cant try them on before purchasing ( e-bay came up as the e store was much cheaper and I couldn't try them on anyway at the local place ). So, for the guys not buying stuff all the time remember to shop around, it pays, I'm living proof. Also thanks to Andy and Ray at Rocky Mountain Phoenix. I will be back.

I've been looking at getting a pair for Fire Flashes as well. Do you mind telling us how much you paid for them?

The regular fireflash boots were 300 including shipping from Alberta to Ontario, taxes as well. I know in some other threads here 99 dollars was mentioned.....a special of course. Now there is a dealer in Ontario but they wanted over 450 for a pair before tax and shipping! If you want to know the dealers send me a pm on here. I'd like to avoid bad mouthing the dealers publicly.

Kinda makes me glad we're just a few hours up the road from RMP. Deal with those people lots, even for the smaller nickel and dime stuff. Seem to be able to get what you need , when you need it. Even got our pumper from them, just before they went to Rosenbauer. Had some extra pull out steps added on, on site. They also come out yearly to do pump inspections, ie- oil changes, vacuum tests, everything to do with the pump and panel. Good bunch of people.

Ya I know what you mean. It's been nothing but a nightmare trying to get Globe gear.

Anybody try the STC Marshalls? If so what do you think? Also do most leathers eventually become easy to take off or are am I destined to always be falling on my ass trying to get em off.....

I have a pair of Total Fire - 10" Leather Speed Zip Boots Model# 6310 and I love them so much more comfortable than my Ranger rubber boots. I will never go back to rubber. I chose the zipper model because I have smaller feet and I found that they fit a little more snug.

I looked at STC's, I really do like buying made in canada but take a look at the price. If memory is working today acklands grainger sells them. Believe they were 600 and change. Nice to talk to on the phone though and a quality boot.

I just received a pair of STC Commanders from superiorsafety.ca, they are priced right in with Haix and Globes.
