Anyone have a suggestion for a good online store for fire gear such as boots, tools and so on? I'd prefer a Canadian supplier, and I'm having trouble finding a Canadian Fire & Safety shop with a decent online store.

Thanks!

There's a good looking set of Morning Pride gear in the classifieds on here for $500. http://www.firehall.com/classifieds.php?&func=view&item=6736752

You could also check with the local reps at this year's Atlantic FDIC in Wolfville in June. They'll usually work out some pretty good deals. We bought a few sets of Morning Pride gear that Toronto over-ordered for a really sweet deal.

I don't mean turnout gear, I mean tools and other equipment. Lights, wrenches, entry tools and so on.

My new turnout gear is already ordered - and it is, in fact, Morning Pride :)

AJ Stone (http://www.ajstone.com/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.browse&category_id=541a03b2b0e1b6dbd972e9f5af5ca992&option=com_phpshop&Itemid=0) has a Web site and what they call a catalog but I believe you still have to call in to order.

Superior Safety (http://www.superiorsafety.ca/catalog.asp?can=27168A38) out of Thunder bay does mail order as well.
They will custom order for you as well if need be.

Most Canadian places want you to call them to verify the order still it seems.

It looks like your back east, but serving western Canada and available to all of the country is Wholesale Fire and Rescue, this is there website
http://www.wfrfire.com/
I know that they will ship at least as far east as Manitoba not 100% sure about the maritimes.

Just check the ads in Fire Fighting in Can. mag. There has to be a "zillion" supply places for what you are looking for. Most sell or can get the same brand/models. Sometimes pays to shop around. A few are dedicated to a particular brand. Cheaper cost doesn't always equate to cheaper quality and vice versa, as I have found out. Get good stuff close to home, shipping costs will be less than from across the country.
