How Do I become A Firefighter?

Hello. I'm new here. I'm a philosophy student at a college in the USA, and I'm interested in becoming a firefighter. I recently took a course for red card certification for wildland firefighting, and I'm very interested in pursuing a short career in firefighting to help pay for grad school. So, how do I go about becoming a firefighter? I haven't been able to find any literature online about this elsewhere (and yes, I would be interested in going to Canada after college).

/Training' you will find links to most of the other training schools.
On these sites is all the information needed to prepare for and begin
A career In Firefighting.

The best advice I can give you is to go down
To your local fire hall and talk with the men and women that work as
Firefighters ever day. I hope this is of help to you.
