KELOWNA, B.C. (CP) - Some among the thousands of evacuees who went back home Wednesday were petrified that the huge wildfire that drove them out is "a sleeping monster" and far too close to their homes. "It's not a safe place for me yet," said a frightened Inga Clark as she sobbed and watched several helicopters dump water on the blaze near her South Mission home. "I wish I could feel cozy, I wish I could feel at home but I can't because there's so much going on in that forest," she said. "One of the firefighters still calls it sleeping monster." An evacuation order was lifted for 10,400 evacuees at noon Wednesday, with more than 5,000 Kelowna residents remaining out of their homes.
