Here you can see the Gear of the Fire Brigades of the District Ammerland. I´m a member of the FD Elmendorf. The man on the picutre is me.

Very 'visible' gear. Does the jacket need to be cleaned very often to stay looking good?
We wear yellow overpants and a black jacket, the pants need cleaning far more than the jackets! Soon we'll be getting new gear, not sure of the final choice of colour, but both options are very pale. I'm glad I don't have to pay for the cleaning.

We clean our clothes about every 1st or 2nd year. Comes on the alarms on. We have about 50 per year.

Looks like you were working as stand by for the hot dog cart. :)
Intersting how different gear looks in Europe compared to North America.

Yes, they have a really low weight and the size is very easy and quick adjustable. So everyone can wear those helmets. Sure, you can get better helmets, but the prize is much higher. The prize of this is one is about at 120 CND, other types cost more than 300 CND.

Yeah, beer stands are quite common in Germany. You can find them anywhere from, a soccer
tournament to street festivals,well.... any kind of festivals :-)
So drinking in public is not a crime but being drunk can be.
Oh hey and it is cheaper too ;-)
And we are really totally of topic.
