We are setting up a new trailer, we currently have a 6 bottle cascade fill station on this trailer carry a couple of 5000 W gensets with lights and a bunch of other supplies. This trailer goes on all structure fires, and any calls that we will be there for any significant time. Its pulled buy a ¾ ton that we won a couple of years ago in the Ablerta Fire Power. We do get our share of the big calls in our area that were on scene for over 24 hours, we also provide a resource to our smaller mutual aid departments who call us regularly.

One thing that we are looking at is to make a better rehab system that we can store in the trailer. What type of things that you carry for rehab that works well for you? We have been talking about folding chairs, any one carry anything like that? If so what type and do you recommend that type? Some have even mentioned a couple of folding picnic tables. I’m not sure in I like that idea, I don’t want to put out an image that were there for a picnic, but I can see the good points as well.

Any ideas would be helpful,

Our local support department carries the folding chairs with arm-rests that can be filled with water to help with cooling. I've also tried them at a few auto-x competitions in the hot summer months. They are nice, and I don't think they take up too much space.

Here's a pic of a manufactured rehab chair. Just a folding chair with pockets on the handles that hold cold/ice water. Pretty easy to make your own I would bet!

That is the Kore Kooler Rehab Chair by Morning Pride. Not only do the arm hold water for cooling (and NOT ice water either), but the chair is mesh so it breathes. An umbrella is optional.

Thanks for the ideas, anything else that we should think of for the trailer?

I'm thinking of a small fridge but power may be an issue when it’s being stored in the hall. Maybe a couple of the 12 volt coolers might be a better idea. I'm currently getting prices to put 2 awnings on it, one on the end and one on the side with the door.

Our disaster services mobile command center trailer was delivered a few weeks ago it’s going to have a bunch of new toys in it. A/C, Generator, tables, mobile radio repeater, computers, phones, office equipment, just to mention a few. I may have a little input to equip this one but the Air/Rehab trailer seems to be falling in my lap.

Going shopping tomorrow with the PO Book!!!
