I am currently registered in Alberta as an EMT and graduated from a CMA approved PCP program. I want to get a Manitoba license through Manitoba Health and have submitted all the paperwork and they told me I had to do a 40 question exam. Anyone know what the test people on? Anything PCP related including pharmo and A&P? I just wanna know where I need to start in terms of studying.

Everything you need to know is in the ETGs. You can find them on the Manitoba website. They'll ask you basic questions such as drug dosages and when you give them, joint care and splinting, and other basic patient care questions. The test is not very hard and is all multiple choice.

I'm glad someone asked this, as i'm going to be writing the same test in the near future. I sent in all of my stuff as well, but got it all sent back; i neglected to send in the child abuse registry check. I sent in an RCMP criminial check with vulnerable sector portion, and assumed this was good, but apparently not lol; i'm now just waiting on this Child abuse registry check and i'll be doin the test as well.

As long as your course is CMA accredited and you're eligible for a license with MB health, they will give you a temp license in the meantime; just show you have the ball rolling on things and you can look for work. They know red tape takes time. I have an interview on the 20th and they have been very understanding of this. If this is any reflection of the work environment there, i can't wait to get started.

I hope this helped.
