Did anyone get sent out of the country this year? Any good stories while being out of your own base area? Out here in wetland, AB, our season is coming to a close, not that it ever arrived.

BC exported crews a few times this year. Unfortunately my crew wasn't one of them. There was at least one deployment to Alberta of about 100 or so people.

Then the Valhalla and Fraser Unit Crews, along with about a dozen overhead pesonnel, were in California for three weeks.

The Martin Mars is still in California and will probably be down there for a few more months.

I'd love to come down there if we get the call to go. The different fuels and the increased fire behaviour would a great experience.

I work with a few of the people who got to go down a few years ago. I was pretty jealous when they told their stories.
