Hi all, I've heard that the passing times for the CPAT are different if you are a while male, a female or a visible minority. is this true? all I've heard it from is "my buddy has a friend who bla bla bla" and I would like an actual answer.

thanks

I believe it's ten minutes and twenty seconds no matter who you are. The first 20 seconds are the warmup on the stair mill at 50 steps per minute, then it goes to 60 steps for 3 minutes. After that you drop the extra 25 pounds and go through the course with seven minutes to go. Take a stop watch if you want and time some people as they go through paying attention to how fast they move between and during each portion. I think you will see that it is not that hard to finish with time to spare! Also I guarentee that your ethnicity has nothing to do with times!

CPAT is a pass/fail test based on a validated maximum total time of 10 minutes and 20 seconds. A failure will be given if any of the events are not completed correctly, or 10 minutes and 20 seconds is exceeded before the test is completed.

Not to sound anal but the time doesn't start until after the warm-up on the stepmill.

The whole thing is 10:20. The warmup is the first 20 secs. Then 10 mins for the rest. Am I wrong on this?
