EMR/EMT Positions in MB

Hey Everyone!

I'm hoping someone may have the information I am looking for. I just recently passed my EMR course and am currently going through the steps to get my licence as an EMT through MB Health.

Is there any rural areas that still hire on EMT'S/EMR's? Or what other medical jobs do you know of that hire EMT's? I do know the Fire/EMS dispatch for the City does hire and I am looking at that as an option but I would really love to get on an ambulance.

My longterm goal is to become a PCP but one step at a time :) lol

Well I know on my dept. some of the older guys are emts but were grandfather into tech-paramedic when mb changed there licencing procedure. As far as i know most services operate with emrs because you dont' need pcps unless your call volume exceeds 1500/year (i believe). My advice is to call up the service you want to work for and see if they'll hire technicians.
