Yep we are starting a recruit class April 1st I think it's 16 or so then "the list" will be done and a new recruit drive will probably start once again, I've been in Vaughan for 14 years and just promoted a year ago, I wnet to Indy a couple of times to the FDIC and met people like Jim Crawford from Pittsburg who is the brains of RIT and myself and a couple of other guys started our own program in Vaughan.
It's FF survival techniques and RIT team training. The survival stuff is self-rescue like bailing out windows and rapid ladder escape and through the floor rescue and stuff like that and then there is crew/team rescue if one of your own goes down...you collectively made the rescue, check out Rapidintervention.com for all the info and questions you may have I also can answer whatever you need answered as well.
Good Luck

Well I think you could check out the MFSIA website they have courses in the spring sometimes. I'm hoping to do some travelling around in the near future and do some of the training for people.
I am looking into getting accredidation from the OFM (Ofcourse) and then carry on, if not I may just do training on my own, hey if it can save a life or two...

Boy, talk about getting off track ... you should use Private Messaging if you want to chat with each other, not a thread.
My two cents.

Ok where were we...RIT I have some great drills for training both in Crew rescue and extrication from a collapse or an unconsious FF needing rescue so if you need anything I'll try to forward what I can get my hands on at the computer at work.
