Well we are in the process of planning for our new pumper for 2006 delivery to go in our new in 2003 hall.

Of course a certain amount of input will come from the counters of beans, but what we are planning at this point is: Commercial chassis, enclosed panel with crew seating for 3 or 4, 840 or 1050 gpm, CAFS, pump and roll capable, no tailboard extra departure angle. There will be more of course, but this is our basic idea. Probably from either E-One Superior or Fort Garry.

White of course. With our striping.

We went white in the early '80's when the big push was on for slime lime , and we said not in this fire hall. Nice clean look. Red is ok, but we have decided to stay with our white trucks.

All our rig's are mostly red with about 20% white. Thank god those slime lime as DFC called then, and i agree, are slowly being replaced by other colour's. Honestly i don't know how much the colour of a truck does for visibility, it doesn't seem to matter people still don't seem to see us...

A study from NYC was responsible for the "Slime Lime" coming into play originally. FDNY was looking for a way to reduce the number of accidents that they incurred and commisioned a study. The results were that lime was a more visible colour then red and should result in fewer accidents.

After a couple of years they noticed the accident rate actually went up so they commoissioned another study. This one said while Lime is more visible then red, people won't stop for them. LOL
