All we get is a lieu day. I don't know about cops but paramedics get triple time.

We're allowed to carry only two lieu days over to the next year. All the rest have to be used up or you lose them with no pay out.
And the two that do get carried over, have to be used by March.

We can use our lieu days in 12 hour chunks. Either take the whole 24 off or take the day off and come in at 20:00.

We can sell 4 lieu days.

12 lieu days, taken as time off or pay-out, plus time and a half for holidays and O/T,
so working on holidays and taking the cash we get double time and half....whoo...hooo

Isn't a lieu day meant to compensate for holidays you might work? So you are getting lieu day AND time and a half?

WOW! Somebody wasn't too sharp on the city side at the negotiation table. Good for you though. :)

Just to keep it clear Rescue 78, All 4 shifts get the 12 lieu days whether thier shifts fall on holidays or not, so the shifts that work the actual holiday get time and a half for that day, where the off shifts just get the lieu day. It makes working the holidays easier.

So does that mean that you don't have lieu days? And what if you work on a holiday?

You get paid same as normal, but your stat pay is rolled into your regular pay, Its kinda hard to get your head around I know, but it works
