Is it possible to get on as a CM Firefigher without any previous experience or training. I don't have any of the Fire Credentials and was wondering if this would be still an option. Also how long of a contract do you have to sign once your on.
Thank you for your time.

It is possible. There's alot of competion for Military fire from within the military and civy side. You would be signing a 3 yr contract to start. And they will hold you to it.

Its a 5 year contract. While i was going through the process I was told that you dont need pre service or 1001's but it shure helps, the key is the interview if you can do well there it will set you apart from everyone.

When I joined it was 3 years, 3 years and then 14 years. That may have changed now.
I spoke to a CF FF last week and he mentioned that he heard there could (or maybe already is) a shortened course at the CFFA for people who have completed their 1001, 472, EMR, and deemed suitable to proceed. He seemed to think it was shortened to around 10-12 weeks.
If this is the case, does this change anything on your contract, postings, etc? Regarding choices of location, time, etc?
