A request for style opinion: What do you prefer for a fire badge? The standard Maltese Cross http://www.stokes-int.com/images/completebadges/B12.jpg and the pointed, "star-like" Maltese Cross http://www.stokes-int.com/images/completebadges/B13.jpg And why do you prefer it?
I'm not settled on the topic myself . . .
Cheers,
Jason.
i like the first one, to me looks more historic...second one looks to......cheap

My vote would be for the standard Maltese Cross - the Stokes B12. Looks better and more professional than the other, which, as has been stated, looks cheap. :) LTPVFD

The first one. I have never really liked the pointed version.

You might like to see what the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation has developed for the Memorial pin. The lapel pin was developed and Canada added as some people in other countries do not understand just the maple leaf.
You might like to know that the second badge portrayed is the official badge of the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs. They have recently adopted the Memorial pin as the official Canadian pin.

Definetly the standard maltese cross. It is more traditional and more recognizable to the fire service.
