Hey I wondering what I need to do to become a paramedic in BC. I know in Alberta they have EMR, EMT-A and EMT-P and have no idea what BC has for levels and such. I also would like to know who I hvae to register with in BC to be licencend.

There is EMR, PCP and ACP. You have to do the licensing exams through the EMA licensing board. There are plenty of threads on here on how to do that. Their office is in Victoria but they offer exams monthly throughout the province.

Here is the BC EMA Licensing Site http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/ema/
Just be prepared to work in a remote station for a bit if your going with BCAS, seems like you have to do the time, I'm half way though the BCAS Hiring process as we speak, and considred lucky will be sent a station only 55kms from my house which is short compared to a few other guys in here who have over 2 hour drives for on-call cars.

I get to drive about 3.5 hrs to my station, but I am one of the fortunate ones, we have a Stand-by car (Fox), and a Call-Out car (Kilo), so its actually worth the drive, and after 6 months you can put in for a transfer to a closer/busier station.
