Have a members link to see who is who. Like to search names and find details. Only those that the person puts though.

by all our members not to mention if this information is laid out as a list it would be open to harvesting.

Harvesting is the act of an automated computer program or individual searching out information on the Internet primarily personal information. For the most part this information is used for Spam but it could be worse depending on the information made available.

The way the forum is set up any registered member that is logged in does have the ability to view another members 'Profile'. Click on the profile button that is below every post. The profile information is limited to only what the member makes available and does NOT by default include such things as phone numbers or addresses.

We at Firehall.com would like to hear what other members think about this.

Leave it as it is. If anyone wants to give more info of themselves they can in the profile. I personally like my privacy.

I agree, anonymity is a nice thing, it's why we have usernames! Besides, our country has passed some pretty interesting privacy laws recently... not that you can't still get the info you want, you just aren't "allowed" to! hahaha!

For instance if you click on my profile, you'll see that I am a 32 year old Mouse hunter from Ottawa! har har!
