I'll ride the coat tails of this thread -- so on that note above, could someone also recommend a particular brand/model that would be ideal for confined space and high angle rescue?

Check out this thread...

or you can do a search for leather boots and find a whole list of related threads.

AJ Stone would be your first shot.

R. Nicholls is selling the Haix line out of their Dixie rd store.

Hope this helps.

M and L Supply would have a rep that serviced that area also...your options are pretty much wide open...

Chris Pettinger @ Canadian Emergency Supply & Training Associates sells Haix boots. They're beautiful boots, and Chris is very helpful. I think he frequents the forum so maybe he can get in touch with you, otherwise I can PM you his email address. I can't speak for the Flash Fire Xtreme (though PFD023 could), but the Fire Hunter Xtreme is superb.

Can anyone suggest a Pro Warrington dealer, preferably one somewhere in the vicinity of the GTA? I want the 6006.

Very nice boots. I've got the Haix lace ups....consider how you are using them. If they are for responding you are gonna want (at the very least) some type of speed lacing system (with zipper). If they are for training you can take your time with all those laces.

I'm assuming you want these for something OTHER than structural firefighting....because they aren't approved for that.

I believe M&L Supply deals in all the Total Fire Group products. www.mnlsupply.com
Like most of the dealers in the area, I found them very helpful and their guys will most likely be willing to come to you for a meeting.

Strike the above....just saw your original post outlining what you want to use them for.

Yep....CS and high angle rescue.

It's the TFG 6006 versus the Haix Special Fighter Extreme, but the Haix look a bit too "extreme" for me. Any opinions?

My Fire Hunter Xtreme's have the same yellow stitching; it turns black the first time you polish the boots though, so they look a little more subdued...less "Xtreme"...All this Xtreme talk makes me want to get some Xtreme Cheese Doritos and do some Xtreme X-Games viewing on my Xtreme couch...to the Xtreme.
