Just heard that there is a hiring freeze with DND Civ departments. bummer as I am waiting for a call from 2 hiring lists. I guess I will just have to keep waiting and updating myself. Anybody else waiting as well?

That sucks on that end. I wonder if its spreading to the cf aswell, ive been sitting on the merrit list since april.

As far as I know the hiring freeze is only affecting Reservists and Civilians. It does not affect Reg Force applicants.

any idea how long it might be? I am on Suffield and Wainwright, been on the list for about 7 months now.

Hi everyone,

I have nothing better to do right now, just thought I would see how the hiring freeze is coming along. Im supposing still froze &%*# stiff? Seen that a few DND departments got some deadly new trucks. Take care

Don't know much about the freeze but I agree about the trucks. I was down in Shilo recently and saw their new Pump. Not a bad looking rig at all.

We just hired 2 guys in Dundurn.
But we had 2 guys retire for these spots to open up.

must be just an alberta thing then. I heard that they are not aloud to hire until the freeze is up. even if guys have retired.
