Is head pressure measured as 10kpa per floor (3m) or is it 10kpa for each meter (30kpa/floor).

Thanks.

I'm not sure, but one of my classes this semester is Hydraulics and Fluids for Firefighting. All about pump pressures and friction loss and the sort. So I might know by April. Just looked through my textbook, but couldnt find it.

FireEMT, its 30kpa per story or 10kpa per metre, plus what ever your base pump pressure is for standpipes or sprinklers

I was pretty sure it was 10kpa/meter, thanks for the reply and conformation!

Micheal13, yup APril would have been a little too late, part of being a good firefighter is knowing your SH*T off the top of your head, when you learn hydraulics my advice to you is too focus and learn Hydraulics, its gotta be the most important part of being a driver

Not a driver so I dont worry about it, but I know what you mean.
