Hey,
Hopefully this is the right sub-forum to be posting this..... I was hoping someone here might be able to help me out. I wrote for Hamilton fire a couple months back and I was curious if anyone remembers seeing what appeared to me as a oval crown gear on the exam(it asked for the purpose of the gear). In prep for TFS's exam I've been searching trying to find an answer to the purpose of the gear (at the time I put varies speed) but the closest thing I've been able to find so far is a harmonic gear, and a "non circular gear" however from what I've read neither are crown types.
So my question does anyone remember this particular question and what are your thoughts on the correct answer?
