The Live dispatch site currently has a call on the page as a 'water problem' and the call was received at 06:50, this morning Jan 23rd. 2005. Area 332, on Bay street. Approx 30 units on scene and a 1 alarm. Doesnt look like all units listed are still on scene, since they are repeated in other calls around this time tonight. (17:16). Can any of you TO guys let us know what was going on??? I see alot of 'water problem' calls now and then.

Thanks. Hard to believe a water main can freeze, but it's darn cold.

Another question- On the Live dispatch site, when a unit is repeated, does that mean that unit has been released from the scene?

Why did 30 units respond to a watermain break?

There was so many crews because they were rotating to give the guys a break likely. Toronto is an old city with an old infrastructure. Watermain breaks don't happen every day, but they do happen.
