In May 2003, Canada Post issued a commemorative postage stamp to honour Canada’s volunteer firefighters and to thank them for their dedication and commitment to their community.
The Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council believes that the picture of the stamp deserves wider distribution in tribute to our volunteer firefighters and that the issuance of the stamp presents a unique opportunity for raising funds in support of fire prevention and the efforts of fire departments across the country. Consequently, the Council has obtained permission from Canada Post to reproduce the picture of the stamp on a t-shirt and as a limited edition print.
