HOGAN, Fire Captain James Dermot (Jim) aged 77, passed peacefully away after a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009. Predeceased by parents, Donald and Mary Hogan, brothers: Pat (Hazel), Frank (Peg), Gerald, Kevin, Ed, Paul, Donald (Jean) and Jack (Marjorie) and sisters, Rita and Marge (Andy Richards). He will be remembered for his service to the community in a long and esteemed career as a firefighter. He holds a special place in the hearts and memories of his grandchildren. Left to mourn his loss, are his loving and devoted wife, Doreen (Gushue), sons; Jimmy Hogan and Fred Roberts (Christine); daughters: Mary Dee Murphy-Welsh (Trevor), and Lark Sullivan (Gerald); grandchildren: Tara, Janelle and Grant Roberts, Riley Sullivan, Jamie, Jessica, Janessa and Jennifer Murphy; brother Bren (Geri), sister Agnes Trainor; sisters-in-law Dulcie and Mary Hogan In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jims memory to the Vera Perlin Building Fund.
