If you act quickly you may yet avoid the crazed frenzied crowds that are coming. Sweet old grannies with Gordie Howe elbows and heavy bags clearing a path to the best Christmas goodies. Howling snotty nosed mothers looking for that last "whatever widget" for their howling snotty nosed brats.

You may avoid the worst of it if you act immediately, the checkout lines will only be about an hour long, and you may even escape with your faith in humankind intact. But don't delay any more. Even now you may be too late!!!!!

Had you listened to the words of the older, world wearier DFC (please note, I knew better than to say wiser :D ) you would be carefree and able to sit back enjoying eggnog and "A Muppet Chritmas Carol" on the telly instead of fighting the hoards.

I will have a couple of last minute items and I know even though the gifts aren't a plenty this year, they are cool and I will be Mom of the year!!! hee heee... I had the teenage girls working in the clothing stores help me pick out outfits... oh, I am soo cool!!! hahaha!!!

My gifts are off to Vancouver and Cape Breton, my New Brunswick gifts will be late because they are leaving on Monday, but the recipient won't be home until after Christmas anyway!!

All-in-all....a good day! TJ and I usually sneak away each year and i help him finish up, he always says he's going to pay for the gifts that he bought, but I usually just throw it in with my stuff and say we will square up later (we all know later never happens) This year he wouldn't let me do that, he was quite determined to pay, so I let him. He seemed proud as punch, and even thanked me for the great day at bed time....Life can be good!!

Well that's it. All that agonizing over the perfect gift. Those slugfests in the toy department. Ripping the last "whatever widget" from the hands of a shopper smaller and weaker than you. It's all over in a veritable orgy of gift paper and tissue shredding, excited delighted squeals, and expressions of awe and wonderment.

All the stuff you bought for $49.95 will be on sale tommorrow for 16.00! So the replacement for the broken ones could be cheaper.
