Canadians showed enormous generosity toward B.C. residents evacuated or burned out of their homes this summer -- but the vast majority of donated goods will never go to forest-fire victims. The reason: The response greatly outstripped the need. Donations sit in jam-packed warehouses in Kelowna and Kamloops, waiting for relief agencies to decide what to do with the mountains of non-perishable food, clothing, furniture and other goods.
