Just hired on with HSE as an EMR, head office out of sylvan lake and working in fort sask area, just wondering if anyone has an opinions or insite on HSE and what i can expect.

I spoke with a guy from HSE a couple of years back about a job and he wanted to meet me in a city that is roughly 4 hours from where I live for an informal interview. I left the folowing morning to meet him for lunch in that city. I decide to check my email on my phone when I stopped on the way for a coffee/fuel, and the guy had cancelled on me at 4 in the morning by email, but never even bothered to call me to make sure I even received this email. I had to leave at 7am and I never check my email that early, especially when i'm not expecting anything. The guy even confirmed with me the night before. I should mention that I was already almost to the destination to meet him when I noticed this. I thought this was super unprofessional. I also should mention that I also never heard from him again, regardless of the many times I tried to contact him.

I had heard they were a huge company pror to this, with a solid reputation, so this was a real shocker for me. Maybe i'm just the one freak incident, but this was my experience with HSE.

That is not a frak accident. I had the same thing happen to me. I applied to work there casual on my days off. I got up dressed for my interview and got a call when I was almost at the interview location saying it was cancelled. Then they told me to call them back when I had time for an interview. Very unprofessional and one of the lowest paid industrial companies in AB right now.

Wow, that is really unfortunate to here. I was actually contemplating checking out their company again to see if maybe they were just a little off when I looked at them last time. They had a few jobs in Grande Prairie that really appealed to me. I'm going to apply with onsite medical now, they seem very solid and approachable so far.
