THUNDER BAY, ON - The annual Thunder Bay Firefighters’ Charity Ball will again give residents a chance to experience a fairy-tale gala, all for a good cause. The 17th edition of the ball — set for April 2 at the Valhalla Inn — will be dedicated to the Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay, with all proceeds from the event going to the club. Ball chairman Scott Chisholm said Tuesday the event changes which charity it’s associated with every year. “One of the things we strongly look at is local, tangible charities,” he said. “Although the need in the community is enourmous, the Boys and Girls Club stood out.” Chisholm said the club works directly with schools and community, which appealed to the organizers of the ball.
