If Canada had a posting like this I would do it. Currently im in the Canadian Forces as a firefighter and my ql3 course does not start till November 15. I wonder if they would let me do that while i was waiting for my course. I have the qualifications there looking for so I cant see why not. Does anyone know if Canada has job postings like this. I never heard of any.

I think this is probably a civilian company. A lot of their bases over there seem to be contracted out.

As for the CF letting you do something like this while waiting for course. I would probably go with no.

I got this same email. I was getting ready to apply, then I got the the "Must be US citizen part"

I would apply in a heartbeat if this was open to Canadians.

Am almost positive that PRETC would say no. And there would probably be some french mcpl that would try and charge for even asking that haha. The military is not going to let you go overseas and work for an american civi company

Yep, sounds about right for that s***hole....or a twenty something year old reservist Sgt they sometimes get who think their the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I did see some people get an overseas tasking while I was doing time there. They went to do GD work in KAF and some FOB's. Only catch was they were all previously qualified in another trade, mostly ex-combat arms guys who had been to Afghanistan or on other tours.
