Hi I'm Curt. This is my first post.

I completed my EMR course at JIBC two and half years ago. However, I did not go for my EMA cert. Foolish, I know. I scored well on my written (98%) and did well with my practicals. So, is there any way for me to test without repeating my EMR training? I am a full time student now and simply do not have the time or money to do it. I'm hoping is that I will be able to audit an EMR course to refresh and do the tests for that course. It's still my goal to work for as a paramedic in B.C and I'll retake the EMR course once I'm out of school if there is no other way.

If this has been discussed before sorry about the repeat. I tried searching and scanned the pages without seeing anything about it. Google also didn't come up with anything and EMA's site didn't have anything on it either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Curt

As far as I know you have 1 year to get it done, but I was unable to find that information, you may have call EMA licencing, you can also check the licencing guide online, if all else fails you may be able to take the bridging course.

Hey Curt,

I attempted to get my EMR license as well, when we were on strike, as my PCP program was put on hold, but EMA licensing said no, becuase it had been over a year. As Radar said, you will have to do the course again or take your PCP program and then go to licensing before the year is up.

Good Luck and all the best in the future!
