ROSENEATH, ON - The final donation was made on February 12 for the Alnwick/Haldimand Fire Department's new $40,000 emergency rescue boat, "Garrett Rescue 1." Greg McCracken wrote a cheque for the final $4,000 to Roseneath's Station 3, on top of the already generous $6,000 that McCracken Auto and Truck Centre had already given.
The station's new boat will be used as a rescue craft on Rice Lake beginning this June.
