Please donate expired helmets

I travel on a monthly basis around Ontario and Michigan to pick up and collect used/expired firehelmets. I clean them and donate suitable helmets to third world countries in the Caribbean where I used to live (St. Kitts and surrounding islands), no liability to you. These firefighters sometimes have to use construction hard hats I have see this 1st hand. Any helmets we dont use in Canada can be used in the Caribbean, Governments rely on donations from countries like Japan and Taiwan for big things like fire vehicles but don't get the small stuff like head gear. Thanks to St. Clair Township Ont and Maryhill Ont Fire departments for helmet & gear donations! They are going to Good use in a 3rd world country!

Heres a thought. I recently finished preservices here in ontario. I had to buy my own helmet. I dont really have any use for it anymore. As of right now anyway.Its still in good shape. Its only been used for training for a year. I bet if you went to all the colleges that many students would be happy to donate thier helmets after they were done class. I am sure many of them are just letting them collect dust. And anybody that gets hired should be provided thier own gear.I might be wrong...That has happened once before.I think

Ok, maybe I will contact college instructors. I just sent a bunch of fire pants and jackets down to the islands thanks to Maryhill Vol Fire dept near Cambridge Ontario
