NFPA 1001 Level 1 now requires the combined Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Awareness and Operations level training of NFPA 472 for certification. This is basically a 40 hour course, 5x 8 hour weekdays though some trainers will do a Friday Evening, Saturday, Sunday on two weekends.

Just curious if there is any way a firefighter can lose this certification after they obtain it? Has anyone ever heard of someone losing this designation?
