The Brotherhood; CHAPTER 1: Part 1 (half of Part 1)! ;)
By Jon Wells
The Hamilton Spectator (http://www.hamiltonspectator.com/)
Bob Shaw and his wife, Jacqueline, flank their son, Nathan, at the beach. When Bob went off to fight the big one, Jacqueline feared for him as she never had before.
Firefighter Mike (Bronco) Horvath, a buddy of Bob Shaw's, calls for a hydrant to be turned on at the old Wentworth Street School fire in 1988.
'You fight this, you bastard. Don't give up. Don't let it beat you. I'm tellin' ya, it will not beat you." Firefighter Bob Shaw could barely move in his hospital bed. The pain was incredible. He summoned energy to force a smile for Bronco's benefit. "Lemme tell you what's gonna happen," Bronco continued in his rapid-fire delivery, his face angular, eyes dark and lively. "You'll take whatever they give you and you'll get better.
'We got lots of things to do, plans to make. Get back to doing what we're supposed to be doing."

We have a small problem here actually its a big one.
Firehall.com does not have publishing rights to this story. The writer of this story or more importantly the news paper that does have the rights to this story will not be happy. Posting this story could potential put us in a position to be sued. That would be bad!
Sadly we are prevented from allowing our members or our selves to post such copy righted material.
There are a few ways around this but nothing that will allow the hole store to be posted short of getting permission from the news paper that owns it.
What you can do is post a review of the story including quotes. That would be best. The format that Firehall.com uses on our front page is to post the first paragraph or two and a link to the rest.
We understand that you need a subscription to the news paper to read the hole thing but our hands are tied.
We hope that you and all the members of Firehall.com can understand the position we are in.
PS
We are not lawyers but this is our understanding of the law.

Hey Boss. When it comes to copywrited material is it OK to post a link. Just for future refernce to clairify it. Thanks

Links are fine, Luv em'
The only issue with links is that if it is to a distasteful site
such as .... say ... hate mongering for example, we WILL remove it.
This is not a legal thing it is what WE consider to be proper and in good taste.
If you are not sure if a site is in good taste or not, I would bet it is not.
