8 WING/CFB TRENTON, ON - TIGEREX, an exciting opportunity to learn about conducting major Search and Rescue (SAR) missions from the aircrews and support staff of the region's largest SAR squadron, at the Gatineau Airport, Tuesday, 1 March.
The purpose of TIGEREX is to simulate a major SAR scenario whereby a contingent of the squadron is deployed to a location near a designated search area. Operating and deploying during an actual SAR mission allows SAR personnel to operate more effectively and efficiently and this exercise affords them a valuable training opportunity.
