Official word came to our Honour Guard today that the funeral is indeed Tuesday. It will be held at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in Newmarket. The times and further details I have were for Honour Guard mustering, I don't have the info for other mourners at this time but I'll provide whatever I have as soon as I get it.
Suffice to say it will be early afternoon. The procession will close a section of Yonge Street from Davis Dr to Eagle St. Parking is abundant at the Complex but I'm sure it will be packed. If you're not from the area I'd recommend parking at Upper Canada Mall or the Bus terminal. They're short walks from the complex. Crossland Public School back onto the rear of the complex and should provide some parking fairly close (as long as they don't chain it for the summer) and depending on the rules there, the Courthouse is close by.
Accommodations in Newmarket are fairly limited. Not a lot of hotels. Off the top of my head I can think of the Voyaguer Inn at Davis and Yonge and the Holiday Inn Express at Davis and Leslie.
Hope that helps any non-locals making the trek.
