View Full Version : FirePro software
I was wondering if anyone else used the FirePro software to track personell, equipment, and calls? We have it for our Volunteer dept and are quite happy with it. I will admit though that I am just starting to use it and am becoming more familiar with it as the days go on.
I do have a set-up question though: how do you enter your apparatus info so it appears in the call report lists (the drop-down box that allows you to "click" on what apparatus responded to the call)?
Thanks in advance

We are a volunteer department with a very tight budget. Was wondering where I could find this FirePro and how much does it cost.. We are looking for better record keeping options. I have a computer and thought Fire Incidents would be kept better on it.

There is a new company that provides another option for your reporting needs. This system is all web based and is easy to use. No training is required because it is a web page. Keep your stats electronically and have your staff submit reports electronically. This is great for staff and station that are spread out all over the place. For more information please go to www.firemanagement.net.

We have the firepro and would be lost in paperwork without it. Love it, very good product.

We use FDM Software. Keeps call records, personnel records, personnel attendance, preplans, hydrants, training plans & records, and alot of other useful information. Apparently not a cheap program, but very useful for our purposes.
Stay safe !!

What is the FDM software I have never heard of this program.
I am also looking for management software and I feel Firepro 2 is a awkward program to use.
Has anyone tried or presently using the FireBase program?
Thanks

FDM is a company based in North Vancouver. Check out their
web site at www.fdmsoft.com. Theirs is the only fire related software I have any experience with, so can't say how they compare to other programs.
Stay safe !!

I am finding it hard to get support from FDM. We have an older version that will not install on windows xp. I have tried emailing fdm but so far no reply. Has anybody got any info about a patch to allow installations on the xp platform?

I used the Firebase program at my last department.I found it very useful, easy to use and quite economical compared to the "Big boys" like FDM. It has everything a small to medium department needs. Check it out at Wholesale Fire & Rescue's website. It was created by a fellow FF from Vancouver Island, if I remember correctly.

Then look under the listing of Training.

You should be able to add the trucks in after you add all the other info like times and comments---after you click " ok" then you can click on the trucks option---once you get there you have to click " edit " before you can add trucks----once you do that you can keep clicking " tab" and the times will automatically be added!

Im a Firefighter and my Deputy Chief has asked me to find the best program for our firehouse to track all data. Now, i've seen the comments about the program and it seems to me that it be fitting for our needs. Question is how much is this program? Can anyone tell me approx how much it costs. Any info would help. Thx and keep safe by laying it on the line.

Our department is set to purchase FirePro2 in the near future. As it was costed to us, the basic program is around $8,000. With the annual service contract and applicable taxes, it rings in at around $10,000.

We purchased Firepro last year and are happy with it. It cost us about $18000.00. We don't have all the modules but most of them.
The service is great to. I have made recommendations to them and the next update will have them.

We have ad fire pro for just over a year and it is a great program. I am the admin for our system and currently we are using about 90% of the mods that you can get. We are a composite department and this program does our pay roll, full time shifts bill ETC ETC. We are currently looking to expand our DB to allow 4 other departments in our area to share our system and cut down the cost for them. The service is unreal and the program is very customizable to fit your needs. If any one has and questions let me know and I will see what I can do to get you some answers.
