Medical Technician with CF

Hey Guys!

I was just wondering about the Medical Technician position with the Canadian Forces. I was wondering what a day to day would be like for them full-time and also what it would be like for a reserve?

Do you get deployed often? Where are you normally based out of if there is any specific places? What kind of training do the CF train you in? I know they will pay for A-EMCA in ontario

I don't know too much about the specifics of their trade. As far as deploying, whenever there is a major CF deployment you can bet there will be medics with them and they will be stationed wherever there are troops. That may be at the main base or out in a FOB.

On the Reg force QL3 I know they do part of their course at the JIBC. They also do time in Borden at the Canadian Forces Medical Services School. Not sure about the reservists.

Another good site to try is www.army.ca. Just be sure to do a very thorough search before starting a new topic since they get kinda pissy sometimes if you start topics that have been dealt with before.
