IAFF Local dues rate

Hey guys, just trying to get a handle on this topic. Can someone tell me know what their dues rates are? I imagine that locals probably deduct different amounts and maybe some goes to international, and some stays with the local? I'm really interested in the large, big city locals in western Canada.

Dues are set by the locals themselves. There are things such as IAFF or OPFFA per capita dues that are set by those Associations. These are the dues that the Association charges a local per member that is to be paid to the Association. Most locals run with a budget just like any other buisness so the dues are based on the budgetary demands.

Thanks for that,.... I was really looking more for just the actual rate (percentage) or (dollar figure) that was being levied. Anybody out her in Western Canada.....? BC/Alberta?

2.5% of first class rate i think

this will vary greatly depending on the size/age of the local.
smaller locals probably higher as there are less members to cover basic operating costs.
and a younger local still putting together a savings.

Why don't you ask your provincial association
